Baratza coffee grinders

Baratza coffee grinders

We are pleased to offer four new models of high quality Baratza coffee grinders for home use. This is one purchase that can make a significant difference in the quality and enjoyability of the coffee and espresso you brew at home.

Most home coffee grinders are unable to produce a uniform and appropriate grind size for the desired brewing method. The lack of control of the grind size can lead to overextracted or underextracted, highly disappointing coffee! Blade grinders in particular are the worst, because they can actually heat the coffee so much that the tiny coffee particles are re-roasted, dramatically changing (burning) the flavor of a once beautiful coffee.

We’re happy to grind your whole beans with our commercial grade grinder at thump, but since coffee starts staling within minutes of being ground, it’s important to grind your coffee on an as-need basis right before brewing it. This is where having a great grinder at home is really critical!

Baratza produces four grinders for your grinding pleasure: the Maestro, Maestro Plus, Virtuoso and Vario. Each has a range of features that help you make a great cup. We’re most excited about the new Vario model. This is the closest you can get to a commercial grade grinder for home use. Most notably, this is an outstanding grinder for brewing espresso as it has 10 macro and 23 micro grind settings. We continually fine tune our espresso grind throughout the day at thump, and now you can too. The Vario also features ceramic flat burrs that reduce the heat generated by grinding, which can lead to a burnt taste. These burrs will also stay sharp for the life of the grinder.

The next time you’re at the shop, ask Kent about the four coffee grinders we have available.
