For the second year, we will provide materials for you to make a valentine for someone special. Look for bags on each table, full of fun paper, pens, scissors & tape. We may even make a space for you to hang your valentine for your beloved  to retrieve on a special date with you!! Please retrieve all valentines at thump by Sunday, Feb. 2oth. Thanks!!

Thump Earns Awards for Coffee & Art
We were delighted to receive the news that thump won Central Oregon Magazine’s “Reader’s Choice Best of 2010 Award” in the “Best Place for a Cup of Coffee” category. What an honor! We are equally delighted to learn that the board of Arts Central (The Arts and Culture Council for Central Oregon) accepted a nomination for thump to receive their annual “Artie” award for outstanding support of the arts in Central Oregon! Thump Plates & Cups Successfully Adopted by Loving Artists Group:
In January we found an artists’ group who took over 60 chipped but colorful porcelain cups, saucers, serving and display plates that had been retired from service at thump. Too chipped to use but too colorful to put in the landfill. We challenged the group to create a mosaic that could be on display at thump throughout the month of April in honor of Earth Day. We’ll report back on what they come up with, but better yet, make sure to come check it out first hand in April!
