Since last month, our friends Scotty Carlile and Damian Schmitt have been hard at work racing and planning for and promoting numerous upcoming events for the Cyclocross Nationals. Here’s the insider’s view, written by Scotty Carlile.

In March, six of us from thump — and Finley — traveled to Portland to watch the U.S. National Barista Competition and visit some notable coffeehouses.

This month we decided to give you a quick rundown on some thumpista happenings instead of featuring just one person.

First Friday, April 3: Spring Art Hop Artist’s Reception (open late ’til 8:30pm)
